We have been totally impressed with the Roadtrek and have spent many nights in it since purchasing it. However, we also have spent many nights discussing the windows and blinds. The opening mechanisms are in such a place that we cannot use them and consequently one has to be a contortionist to open the windows. Also we cannot get the lower blind to move past the opening mechanisms, so at night the neighbors can see in.
After looking at other Roadtreks and see that the mechanism is at the bottom, I am wondering if it is a manufacturing error. We bought from an individual. I would attach a pic, but can't see where that is possible.
While traveling to Ohio, a Roadtrek Rep called to respond to my letter about the window opening knobs. My daughter took the call and sadly I was not able to have a conversation with the rep. He said to pull the blind out over the knobs. Really? I guess he thinks I have no brain. Needless to say, that does not work. My sweet husband did his usual "get-r-done" repair. He took a wooden block and stuck it between the window and the beautiful interior wall. This works and allows the blind to move past the knobs. However, I was hoping for a better looking fix and was trying to get Roadtrek to give me a workable answer, so I could present it to my husband. I will try to do what one respondent suggested. To cut the knob shaft or order plastic replacements. However, I will have to do it without my sweet husband knowing.
Are you talking about the window crank handles not allowing the blinds to lower beyond them? The shafts are 1" and need to be 1/2". I replaced mine with these. Cranks Actually easier to turn than the originals. Just not as neat looking. I've seen them in white, grey and black. Later I cut the shafts on the originals and put them back on.

Hi: Our 2011 RS has 8 crank open windows (4 windows with 2 per window). The one behind the counter is not that easy to get to, but the others are. On ours the open/close knob is at the very bottom of the window. The shades/blinds bump against it at the bottom. but the entire window is covered.
On the Roadtrek factory website if you go to the 360 interior view of the RS you can see the crank position on the window behind the driver and on the sliding door. If your control knobs are not where these are positioned something is wrong.
