We will be headed to the races at Talladega the first week of May for the first time. We will be headed I75 south to Chattanooga then I24 to I59 south, that part is fine, the directions say to get off I59 at Gadson and take Hwy 77 on down to the racetrack. I know lots of people go every year to this track, anyone able to tell me a little about Hwy77? 2 lane, windy, hilly, etc? I drive a 98 F53 with a 460 gas engine, not towing anything this trip. Thanks

Went down Rt.77 for the fall 2010 race. 2 lane road... fairly flat and straight. Made it fine in a 40 footer with towed.

Hwy 77 is good road, traveled many times. They have been improving it over the years and you'll see both 2 and 4 lanes. Watch the speed in Rainbow City...!
