Looking at trading in my older Ford F250 with 6.0 PSD with 131,000 miles on it. It has a few little niggling problems and I'm wondering if it is time to get rid of it.
I have found a 2009 Dodge 3500 2WD DRW with a Cummins 6.7 with pretty low miles (under 30k). I am not as familiar with Dodge as I am the Ford. Any gotchas with this year Dodge?

I own the 2008 model with 4 wheel drive and I'm very pleased with it. I tow a very heavy load without any problems. Depending on driving terrain and weather conditions, I get 8 to 12 MPG. Be sure to check the certification label weights to ensure it will meet your towing needs. Consider reading the article, "Before You Buy", listed in my signature below.

The only thing you need to besure of is that it has all of the latest software udates. The last one seens to have resolved most issues. Only otger thing is dont drive a lot in town. That seens to cause issues for some.

This is the same truck I have. I haven't had any problems either towing or as my daily driver. I've played with different speeds and found that 60 - 65 I get the best mileage whe towing.

Should be an excellent truck, especially with the mileage. If the price is good, I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat.

I bought the truck in my signature back in August 2011 with 44K miles on it. I jumped all over it. Great truck with lots of hp and torque. I get 11.7 to 13.2 mpg towing at about 60mph.

I'm happy with my 08 Dodge. I know for a fact the Cummins sounds and smells better than the others. Good luck.

The dually diesel Dodge would be a good upgrade from your 3/4-ton early 6.0.

If you can see warranty repair records and they look good I would say go for it. A buddy of mine has an '08 and it's been in the shop more times than he can count for EGR problems.
