Ya, you and I are freaking the natives out talking shop in this forum.

Ford is tied up in knots over the decision.

A strong constituent is pushing to retain it (E 450 onwards, cutaways is for sure for quite a while).

Heard the E 350s are running in parallel for a while --- at least available to 2018 is one version.

No one is saying the E350 is being killed at same date Transit becomes available.

A lot depends on how the Transit sells.

The worse laughing stock joke was they devised a sales tool that shows the improvement in carbon footprint for the customer.

That is proof positive for me that Ford is disastrously out of touch.

As you know the Transit Connect flopped disastrously.

Ford is losing share in the commercial /fleet market fast... so I hope the Transit sells.. or it is a billion or so up in smoke.

The killer will be price --- 1/3 or so more.. and the unlikelihood of recovering savings...

25% fuel savings is a joke... it is more like 5 to 10% for many fleets.

If the proposed T450 and T550 replace the E350 and E450, then people might feel not so nervous, they think they are getting a "Sprinter" to replace the E350/E450. I think Ford has not communicated effectively: the phase in timetable ; what the models are ; specs. All of this as I have posted before has been left in the up in the air.Great way to replace the best selling Van in the US,

I heard the T 450 is a long time coming, because a lot of the users will need towing capacity (e.g. RVs).

T450 cant do that job.

E350 is the workhorse... suicide to replace it right away.

You have to understand... Sprinter sales was awful here.

Now you know why Ford is losing its shirt in markets that was their core strength for the last 30 years.

They will not be replacing it straight away, but the general"Sprinter like jobs" will go straight to the Transit. Sprinter was only sold out of Mercedes , Dodge and Freightliner service centres, so no surprise not many around. Their high price would have limited appeal as well.Ford has been doing some very strange things, not only in the US.
