One yr ago this month I did the Red Max treatment. Today I washed the rv and the red max looks like I just did it. I will put on another coat just for kicks but it really doesnt need it. Yes folks the reddmax treatment really works for your old worn out fiberglas sides and caps. I do not know if it works on metal rvs..

More details please. How was the coach stored (inside or outside)? What part of the country was it stored if outside? Stored out in the open or under trees? How much on the road time during the year? What have you been using to wash it with? Thanks for the update.

My RMP is a year and a half old now. We full time so it isn't protected at all but because it has wheels, it doesn't know what snow, ice, sleet or even much rain is. We follow the sun. Right now we're in Palm Springs and have been here or nearby since October. Summer is spent in WY in a very cool climate.
The RMP still looks much like it did on application. I had it washed and detailed in Yuma last January and it did look just like it did on initial application. I'm going to wash and apply another coat on the front cap to see if there is any change. If there is, then I'll just swipe on another coat on the rest of the MH....should take about an hour once washed. BTW: I did not apply any wax or wash-wax on it at all so there isn't going to be any preparation involved for a quick coat.

Red Max was put on ours back Nov 2010, still looking good, except for where I messed one side up washing the roof with Totally Awesome. I put new on that messed up side, ol 99 H/R Vacationer back looking new again.

I used RMP on the front and rear of our 96 Southwind last summer. It was covered all winter and the wind blew the cover off two times.
We didn't get much snow this winter but, a lot of rain and wind.
The RMP looks as good as the day it was applied.

Donandmax,

I have decided to give this a try, when you applied the BKF what type of sponge did you use and about how much pressure would you say is needed? Also, after you applied it what type washing detergent did you continue to wash it with? Thanks.

The coach was stored outside in Colorado (Western slope) Lots and I mean lots of sun shining on it.Not covered. No trees no shade. I put on the Zep wet look floor finish. Do not recommend putting it on the decals though. It doesnt cause anything to peel just drys funny. I used about a little less then half a gallon. Just keep your rag moist
I may not do it at all next year just wash..I would say on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 10. Those of you with fiberglas coachs if your not using it and your coach looks dull and cloudy this is the stuff. When I turned 77 I was sick and tired of waxing and wearing myself out. Now the initial cleaning with bartenders friend is work but once you get it done all you need to do is an occasional wash. We only put about 5-6000 mi on our moho a year. But drive it at least once a mo, just to keep the lubricants working etc. Now if for some reason yours doesnt turn out I wont be responsible but so far I have read zero complaints on this or any other forum. Some of you may insist on waxing the old fastion way. Its up to you but I'm just saying what works for my moho.
Happy detailing.......
