Is anyone getting these strange emails? They are in a "middle eastern" style script. They started showing up in my junk boxes about a month ago. Now I get them every day...sometimes more than once a day...in both my email accts.
I don't open them..and started "marking" them as phishing scams... supposedly the host checks these out. Still getting them though and no way to block them. Sometimes they have hearts or other symbols in addition to some very lengthy script.
If you're using Outlook you should be able to block them. Go to Actions, Junk Email, Junk Email Options, and then click on the Blocked Senders tab at the top. You should be able to Copy/Paste the sender into the box. That should take care of it. Trying *@domain may block all emails from that domain. They won't even go into your deleted folder.

Every time I update Thunderbird or Firefox I get back all those items I blocked and have to start over. In addition options in Thunderbird get eliminated or so it seems.
Seems the only purpose of updates is to reopen everybody's computer to spam and junk mail....and the junk mailers morph too so it gets by your filters.
I've had something on one computer that I cannot get off.The disc drive continually works at times and the light works but there's no disc in it.
There are so many ways for Hackers and Business/Hackers to invade and monitor all the connections to the Internet that security programs don't keep up or are designed to let Advertisers etc in anyway.
If you open some of these strange emails you may get a virus or troan or who knows what.
I'm not using Outlook...Hotmail both accts. I've looked to see if there's a way to block...used to be one, but I can't seem to find it.
Next..I've NEVER opened any of these strange emails and don't intend to. I "mark" them as phishing scams. Supposedly Microsoft is using the data to harden against this stuff.
DH doesn't get these mid east looking emails...not sure why I'm getting them.
As for winning the Iranian lottery... I've already won 7 Nigerian lotto's and a host of others. And...the FBI, CIA, Banki Moon from the UN and a host of other dignitaries wish to congratulate me for something. And...5 different people want me to contact them about my PayPal acct. I don't have one.
I gather no one else is getting the Mid east language junkmails??
