I grew up in southeast TX. We camped, many times, in south central CO. Our favorite campground was Big Meadows. Cell service? DirectTV? Who cares! Unplug! http://www.americanll.com/Del%20Norte.html

We are thinking about going to Colorado for several weeks during July & August. We would like to be on a river or lake in a scenic area. We are not fond of large busy places but want full hook up service. We would like to get to Direct TV satellite and be able to use our Verizon air card and phones. Any of you have some recommendations?

Thanks

The big question is?? Are you planning on staying in one location?? I would highly recommend the Silverton/Durango area and if you really want a high end RV resort, check out Tiger Run in Breckenridge, definitely my favorite place.

Judy and I have been going to Blue Mesa Reservoir, just 12 miles west of Gunnison, for the past 6 years. We were able to get Direct TV, use the Verizon Wireless card, and the Mobile Broadband 10GB without any problems while we are in the campground. But there some locations in the Gunnison area that the signals are not available.
