Hi All.

We had a 1997 F-250 H.D 7.3 PSD. It was nnot need for our year truck.

But if you want Boost your Power and get Better Trans Shiftng and Better MPG, you can do as I did.

I installed a "SuperChips Tunner/Programmer, OBO 11 Code Reader also. Before the install, I used to get on average 21.46 MPG.

After the install, I set the Tunner/Programmer to the 40 HP Safe Tow Mode. I know 40 HP doesn't sound like much of a gain, but it really is, and you can tell the differance right then and there. Its also very safe for your 7.3.

It also firms up your Transmission **** Points, and you will stay in OD Longer.

After the install, I averaged 25.75 MPG. I also gained exgtra miles while towing also.

Our 5er had ST205X75R15's and I averaged about 13 to 14 MPG Towing. Youcan do better. On your next set of Trailer Tires, go to a H Rater ST Tire. As I went from 13 to 14 MPG to a steady 15 to 16 MPG.

If you are interested in more info, you caan send me a PM. If I remember correctlky I think I paid like around $350 for the SuperChips Tunner/Programmer. I still have the Tunner/Programmer. But not for sale, as I gave the 97, 7.3 PSD Truck to our son. In Ca, Diesel Trucks are required to have a Smog Test from 1998 and on. The SuperChips Tunner/Programmer will not effect you, if youj have Smog tests there. Also it only takes a couple of seconds to re-set it back to OEM Setting, and back again.

If you have a 1995, 1996 or a 1997 or a 1998, it will make a differance. As those years of 7.3 PSD were well known to get at least 21 MPG. It will also make a differance in a 7.3 PSD 4X4 in those years also.

It will pay for itself in fuel saving. The more you use it, the more it will save you, and pay for itself.

I don't have any interest in this at all. Just what results I got with our 1997, 7.3 PSD Truck. They made a big change to the 7.3 PSD's in 1999. So I can't answer questions about a 7.3 PSD after 1998. Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill
