Could someone please give me the model number for the direct replacement icemaker for a Norcold 1200 which can be purchased at Lowe's (?)or somewhere like that. I recall it's under $200.

And then...the floor slide at the entry door is inop (05 Diplomat)...at least it's in the stowed postion. Have checked fuses, circuit breakers and wiring. Have yet to actually check the operating switch, but I'm not lucky enough for it to be only that. Where and how is the access to the operating mechanism. So far it seems this was hung in space and the coach was built around it like so much of these wonderful machines.

Thanks for any help. Don

@ Texan. That model # is that standard for the 1200 LRM regardless of year? Mine has a weird leak that causes a big chunk build up in the bin. Will that model work in my unit, being an 03?

Supposedly, it is the only one they have used, since they started building the 12xx in 1996 or so. So I will go out on a limb and say yes, it will fit yours also.

Don
Much less than $200, +- $50 @ Lowes. Easy change out with 4 bolts and explicit instructions.
As far as the step cover, check out the distribution valve in the genny compartment. It will be attached to the firewall above the genny. I air line inlet and 2 outlets. That's what makes it work but when the cover is extended look under it and there is an air cylinder that actuates to extend or retract it.
Been there doen that.

@ Texan. Thanks for the tip and Lowes part #. Changed mine out and TWO friends as well. What a easy job. Sure beat the price CW gave me to do it, and no more ice mound build up. Price $99.00
