We just relocated to Vegas and looking where to go for our first scouting trip in the area. Planning on about 3-4 days. We have a 32' class A with toad. We have 2 dogs (Labs) and looking for a river/creek/lake camping area that is dog friendly. Can be an rv park, or we can boondock. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

x16...the best!!!
There is also the Mojave National Preserve, south and west of Vegas. You'd need to go to Hole-in-the-Wall via #95, to just west of Neeedles, then west to the turn off. It's the shortest of the two paved ways in. Campsite has water and there is a Visitors Centre.
on edit..just to add to Mojave National Preserve...dogs are permitted there and if a person chooses, there are literally thousands of boondocking locations...many right off the pavement. Free too!

I have a Blog..about stuff, some of which is RV'ing.
down at Laughlin is Davis Dam campground, on the river below the dam. I think it's a COE campground. well shaded, hookups, neat and tidy.

Just had a friend of mine return from Lake Mojave. Says he is going back for a longer stay next year. I checked it out online and we will be meeting him there next March.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon and Death Valley can all be seen on day trips especially if you have a toad. It was 122 degrees the day I was at Death Valley. Take lots of water. We ventured out into the valley early in the morning and barely made it back to our car later on. Two bottles each was not enough. Oh, and Zabrisky Point is a wonder.
