We are fulltiming in our 2012 Montana 3585SA that we ordered and took delivery last November. We like it MUCH better than the 2008 Montana 3400RL that we traded. When we arrive at our destination everything is just as when we started the trip. This floorplan has a large rear kitchen with lots of counter space and a very spacious LR with windows on both sides to view the scenery. We never miss the rear window.

We have a rear kitchen fifth and would not go with any other floor plan.
Seems to be a lot more counter space and we have no trouble with breakage.
We leave the coffee maker on the countertop and it never moves.

We have an Excel Winslow 34RKM on order which has the rear kitchen and the added bonus of full accross rear windows in between the upper cabinets and the counter. Prior to our motorhome years, which just ended, we had another Excel with a rear kitchen. Never any problems.

We have the rear kitchen, and it works well for us. I don't think the placement is as important as being able to use the trailer when the slide is closed. I have seen units where you couldn't use the refrigerator, or the kitchen and in one unit you couldn't even get to the bathroom. To me those things are way more important.

We have a RK and love it, we really like it that the kitchen is out of the way of the reat of the living space, when we first bought it there was alot of bounce in the rear which sometimes messed things up back there but I had the MorRyde "IS" independent suspension system and NO MORE BOUNCE. Its an unbelievable suspension system.

i agree that being able to use the trailer when the slide in is a nice part about owning a rear kitchen. we have no problem with stuff flying around. tows really well too.

Our first camper had a rear kitchen. No particular problems with too much bounce. Upside was more counter space than typical mid-kitchen.
Downside was no access to fridge/stove without extending slides.
Our current camper is a mid-kitchen floor plan, and it's nice to be able to stop at a wayside and fix lunch without need to extend slides.
