searched and couldn't readily find exactly what I was looking for. I have ordered led replacement bulbs for my fiver and am awaiting the shipment of some types but others have already come in. The wedge base types fit into the reading lights, but the ones I ordered to replace the 1076 incandescent bulbs don't fit because the lugs are not spaced correctly. I sent an email to the ebay seller and haven't heard back from him yet, but I think I ordered the wrong types. The existing bulbs are 1076 and the ones I ordered are for "1157 1076" and the lugs are offset while the fixture only accepts bulbs with a base where the lugs are even with each other. Trying to possibly find another ebay source, but when I search, I get hundreds of search results. Anyone have a ready source available?

superbrightled.com is a good source. They have been great to work with so far.

I've been down this LED hellhole a few times and it gets expensive.

Vegas Trailer Supply(http://www.vegastrailer.com/) can help you. They have a really good line of lamps which are made for RVs. Call "Mike" at the listed number for further help.

THIS is what you want. Contact the website to make sure they're in stock before ordering though.

Here is a link to an eBay source. About a third of the price if you can tolerate the wait.

1157 and 1076 are not interchangeable, so no bulb will be equivalent to both. They both have 2 bottom contacts, but the 1157 has 2 filaments and grounds through the case, and the 1076 has one filament, and grounds through one of the contacts, the base is not connected to anything.

Since you already bought them; file off the odd pin and maybe they will work okay with one pin. What have you got to lose at this point?

Since the 1157 is a dual filament bulb, the best you could expect is that the two segments of LEDs end up in series and give a dim light. Other possibilities are the vibration of filing damages the bulb with who knows what results, or maybe the contacts don't line up right and you blow a fuse. Good luck.

For a bit I thought it would work fine- simply putting the two elements in series, but one of them would be running reverse polarity- contact -> case (ground) -> contact (real ground), so neither would light (being diodes and all ).
