I have cable in my home. I have company coming and want them to have the cable. I look into the box that has the cable coming from the pole and then there is a splitter because we have two lines for the cable, one in living room and one in bedroom. I am wondering if I can put a splitter on the splitter? I would unscrew one of the cables on the 2 outlet side of the splitter, and put the new splitter and then hook up the cable that was hooked there and on the other of the splitter the cable I want to go to my Fiver in my yard. CAN that be done or am I going to screw up the cable in my house??

You could add a splitter - since you are dividing your signal it might but probably not, decrease your signal in the house. Some cable companies get very upset if someone has done this outside the house where their lines enter the house. Just take it away and put it back the way it was before any cable service is called in.
If your cable service is like most now, you are going to need a receiver box inside the fifth wheel to decode the signal from the cable company. If your cable works just connecting the cable to the back of the TV then you won't need a box from the cable company to get their channels.
I do not have an extra cable box and we do have cable boxes in the house. How is it that when I hook up at a campground there is no box needed, is it the type of cable the campground uses that we just hook up to cable at the outlet at the place at campground and just hook my cable to it and then to my rig?
