It's almost to graphic to believe. I thought it was a suburban to a Tahoe. I can't believe that a modern vehicle just exploded like that.

One of my wife schoolmates was killed when he wrecked his Mustang Cobra on a rural road at over 90 mph.

We went an looked at the car. It was in 2 major pieces.

One of my major fears in life is when my kids start to drive.

That crash was on I-80 Donner Pass takin by a CHP dash cam. I googled it when I first saw the vid. Had the news story to go with it. I saw nothing in the article about TEXTING. Russia do hve those kinda rigs!

I don't know about I-80 and Donner Pass being an undivided type four lane, but have never seen any truck such as the one in the crash (or the one that passes before it) anywhere in Europe or Russia (not that I have been everywhere and seen everything). The involved truck must be a US truck. Seeing that truck go down a "Russian" highway would be like seeing a Tiffin coach going down a Russian highway in the winter...I don't think so. Nonetheless a horrific crash and a lesson all should take away...doesn't matter the country. I still wonder if the video is real.

I noticed that too. It did appear to look like a US rig. And even the U.S. forces use the European built rigs over there. And I do have some time over in Europe also. Did see a very small number of U.S. made tractors over there. But they were extremely far and few in between. The European build tractor is the prefered rig over there. But those people in the video were not speaking any language that I recognize. But the first rig was definitely a Mann or something similiar looking.

There was a TV report showing this same video some time back on another site. The TV station was in NYS and it said that 5 people died includeing the truck driver----I just don't remember where it was I saw it.

15+ years towing off Donner and I to thought that might be where it occurred or timbered great lakes areas. Guess I have become immune to the carnage seen over those years, as it had little shock value to me.. I felt it was something every school child should see yearly as a safety bulletin on winter driving.. IMHO Than again Many schools don't teach driving anymore..

It was in Russia(Notice the Cabover Tractors) and a Russian Cab Chassis van that nearly got collected in the Accident. They have US, Japanese, Korean and European SUV's. The Womans horror at the accident was expressed in Russian.
