I just bought an 07 Yukon XL and have to install the Prodigy. There isn't alot of room under the dash to screw it into and my husband claims he hits his leg on it when it's there. Is there anywhere else I can put it? I can't find the manual to see if it has to be level.

The prodigy does not have to be level, or even close to it. You can go to Tekonsia and look at the exact specs, but I think it can be something like 45-70 degrees off level if I recall. You don't want to mount it in an area where you will hit it with your knee as your husband noted. You DO want to mount it where you can get your hand on the lever in a hurry if necessary. I'm sure Chevy owners will chime in with suggestions.

Here is where I put mine on my 07 GMC 3500
It is accessible to manually apply the brakes in an emergency situation and I do not even come close to hitting my leg on it.

Mine (in an Expedition) is where the ashtray used to be....

If you want something custom/slick, stop by a car stereo shop.

Some vehicles have tiny air bags to save the knees/shin from slinding/banging
into the underside of the dash
So, when you folks mount it in front of those tiny air bags...you may have the
brake controller blown into your shin/knees during an accident that sets off
those tiny air bags...
ALL current and future vehicles (cars and trucks, etc)
have to have shin/knee protection from accidents and most OEMs have
molded in depressions on the lower section of the dash

To the OP, I checked my manual for my 8 year old original Prodigy (not the P2 or P3) and it can be installed up to 70 degrees up.
