Using US Campgrounds, take a peak along the "forgotten coast". State Parks might be full, but Myron B. Hodge City Park in Sopchoppy or Newport County Park would be worth a look. Both are an easy drive to Wakulla Springs SP. Plus, the seafood in that neck of the woods is very good due to the small working waterfront. Another suggestion, although a bit further, is a C.O.E. park. Eastbank is located on Lake Seminole about a mile north of Chattahoochee, Fl., which offers very basic shopping. But the price is right and the lake is a great place to relax for a few days.
If your looking for nature (ie State Parks), I would recommend Highland Hammock State Park. Looks like they have plenty of sites for Memorial Day weekend.
In Orlando area, we usually stay at Tropical Palms.
If you want relaxation, we found a new park in Freeport, FL which is very nice.

Lots of luck.I called campgrounds in PA four weeks ago and was told if we wanted reservations for Memorial Day weekend, we should have made them last Memorial Day. Calling around in other areas and states and got the same response.
