Typically 64-65. Have to get up to 64 before the Allison will shift to 6th with Tow/Haul engaged.

On the flat, I'll simply turn off T/H mode to allow it to shift into OD on mine. If I need the gear, a simple button-push puts me back into T/H. Biggest issue I have is that the brilliant engineers at GM decided that us drivers were too dumb to manually select all the gears, so my Allie can't be manually taken out of OD without dropping straight to 3rd from 5th. Try that at 65. Effin' morons...

Always below the speed limit, but never faster than about 63 or 64 mph. I like my diesel engine sound at or less than 2K RPM. Also, it keeps the fuel consumption lower. And makes it easier to control the truck and trailer.

About the same for me.
I like to go around 63-65 on the highways. My engine tachs around 1900/1950RPM's at this speed. Got around 10.5mpg last trip mostly interstate miles with a few back roads mixed in. Used the cruise control most of the way, no chugging of transmission either.

After we put the BF Goodrich TA's on about 70 is a good speed for the Dodge. I let the DW drive for a while coming back from Mrytle Beach while I took a nap. Woke up and she had the cruise control set on 83! Cummins was hummin...

60 - 65 don't care what others do. Saves fuel. Safe speed. Tires can go to 80

Cute story My wife might to the same, but we would be in the river or on the railroad tracks.

99% of the people on this planet don't know tires have a speed rating.

I certainly did...when looking at new shoes for the Corvette, but never thought that there'd be anything =less= than 100 mph ratings 'cept for wheelbarrow and bicycle tires. ;-) Took reading here to find out about ST tire speed ratings. Be nice if this info were on the tire placard required by law to be on the trailer.

There are a number of States that limit trailer towing to 55 MPH on all State highways; even if the posted limit is higher. Check the state trailer towing laws for GA, MI, CA, ME, MS, and several others..... I don't think this applies to Interstate Highways.

BTW, I usually tow around 60 MPH +/-

I normally sit back with the criuse on at 65. I normally like to drive for 6 to 8 hours if we are going across the USA. 65 x 8 = 520 miles. I sometime drive for 12 or 14 hours just to make a destination 12 x 65 = 780 miles.
What am I going to gain by doing 70 on tires rated 65? 60 more miles on a 12 hour day. Not much for the risk and the pain and strain to drive like I don't have 10,000 pounds of tt behind me, something I don't forget!
