I recently bought a new camper and was excited to take advantage of any and all savings available. I read about the GSC so I went to the website, registered, paid $20 and then nothing. I joined online because I had planned a 60 mile round trip to CW the next day to load up on supplies. I received a note after registration that I would have a membership number in three days and a full packet in three weeks. This was not going to work. I called them and they said they had to wait until the "midnight" postings" for funds to clear. So I waited and called them back. I got a membership number but still was unable to access any membership benefit information on the website. I called them again and they said I had to wait for another midnight cycle for this to work. I did, and now, no web access at all. The login page doesn't even come up. So, being the conspiracy thinking guy I am, I thought, wow, they were secretly waiting for my $20 to clear the bank and now the whole staff is living it up on some Mexican beach drinking umbrella drinks. Man was that rude. Well, I thought about this awhile longer and thought, maybe I might, in some small way, be wrong. However, I am disappointed and feel like I was shammed. The ad that we could save up to 30% at CW for being a GSC member is absolutely misleading. The internet price on CW (for any soul who accesses it) is the very same as the one I got in the store. I could have done everything my my patio, been just as happy and spent that $20 on something for my camper. I do see however, I may get some savings on campgrounds, but all the other benefits like roadside asst, insurance, etc, I already have convered. I will monitor the campground savings this year, but I do not see a renewal in my future. Very disappointed. I'm the type of person who, once screwed, will put them on my list and never use again. Just ask Netflix!
