I have 1991 Spartan Starcraft Class A Diesel Pusher. I want to Tow my Half Ton Silverado Hybrid behind it. The Chevy People tell me that the Pickup needs to be towed with the rear Wheels off of the Ground. I am only towing 600 Miles. Uhaul said I cannot use one of their Tow Dollys for that Truck, and their Auto Transport Trailer will not work either. Does anyone have any Ideas for me? Thanks.

God Bless!

Don't know dink about a hybred but on the other trucks you can pull the driveshaft and then pull them 4 down.

Trailer will not work? That is strange, or is it just the Uhaul trailer?

See Remco HERE for a possible solution.
If you are only going to tow it once it probably isn't a good solution though.

Curosity makes me ask, 600 miles? Why not just drive it and fly back or ride the bus? Sure seems cheaper.

UHaul has a bunch of weird rules for using their dollies and car haulers. You have to give them the vehicle that you will be towing and their list of approved vehicles is very limited, with NO trucks on it. Most full size autos are also prohibited. I bought a car hauler when UHaul refused us and it was actually cheaper by far. Bought it, used it, sold it and the total cost was less than $100 vs close to $1000 UHaul would have charged.

Thanks for the Input. I found a Brand New Tow Bar on Craigslist for $100 that has never been used. I am planning to drop the Drive Shaft and use that. That is going to be my Method of Towing while fulltiming. The first short Trip is only 600 Miles. After that, I will be going far and wide across this great Country of Ours. I hope one Day to hookup with some of you good People on the Road. Thanks again everybody.
