I've looked at many new Excels. They appear to be a really well built rig. I've considered buying used, but there sure isn't very many for sale. Some that I have seen are sold really quick. I was hoping with the price of fuel going up, I might start to see more coming up for sale. Oh well, I'm not in a hurry. I'll just keep looking.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

Try Chetopa RV in Chetopa, Kansas. He is an Excel dealer and had several used ones on his lot. We just ordered a new Excel Winslow last week and while we were there he took an order from another couple who I think were trading in their Excel on a new one.

I'm looking to make a change in RV's next year upon retirement. My interest is in 04 to 06 5ers in the 30-34' range with at least, "snowbird" capabilities. Going to keep my 7.3 dually and need to watch the weight. I'm leaning towards a NuWa product, but Excel is also on my list. NuWa has a section of used inventory which has included some Excels for sale.

Saw the RV 2012 program on HGTV the other night. Noticed Excel is now entering the bumper pull market. An impressive trailer, with decent storage for a bumper pull........and a 1000 lb tongue weight according to the factory rep. Said you would need a 1/2 ton truck to tow it.

Go to RV Trader and search "Nationwide" rather than putting in your zipcode. I pulled up several there. Good luck!

Sorry for my previous sarcastic comment. We all read the posts about the people spending a small fortune on an RV only to have it be in need of extensive repair due to poor quality. My trailer has been alright though I did replace an axle last year and the roof is settling. I am just old school I guess. Seems quality, pride of workmanship and attention to detail is lacking in what I have seen and read.

I believe that Excell is one of the higher PRICED trailers. I've never owned one so can't comment on quality but you might find it helpful to check this web site where owners rate their own RVs based on a stand list of questions. They don't seem to fair that well from what I recall.

EDIT" Just checked and notice they only have 10 responses so results may not be all that accurate. Larger numbers of responses usually nets more accurate results.
