Just picked my rig up this afternoon for a sending unit change. For the centroid unit and labor was $602. I u can do the change yourself u can get the centroid unit on internet for under $100. I paid list price +, but job is done.

I also reset the trip meter. Also the gals used meter.

You might buy several cans of Techron. It may clean off the inside contacts on the fuel sender.

I finally figured out the correct codes for Fuel Level on my Scan Gauge. I now have redundant fuel gauges. I also have the Scan Gauge "Gals in tank" set less than the actual so I don't run out. My Ford gas guage is fairly accurate. I buy gas when I see it less than most other places. I never let it get below 1/4. We need rest stops a lot more often than the gas tank range. She maybe able to to use the bathroom on the fly, BUT driving I can't...
I've only ran out of gas twice in my life, in my youth....
