The Michelin story was they do not advise a passenger car tire on a fifth but as was said DRV uses a Michelin J tire. never saw a J tire on a car so the story continues. We are on our 2nd set of G 614's and the alpenlite came with G-159's with no tire problems yet but I do take care of them. Not hitting the curbs or running with low air pressure seems to help. I also keep the tires over 110 lbs when sitting. I did read the weight of tires and some are very low as the duro's on the carriage E tires. Nothing but a rag I think.

The trailer weighs about 13K. I pulled it a bunch last summer with zero problems. I am very happy I did so.
I hope you have the right rims. The minimum rim width for those tires is 7".

I think the Michelin article is BS since a lot of higher end trailers come with LT's right from the factory. My Alpenlite came with Goodyear Wranglers on it...It's right on the yellow side sticker, LT tires.
