I guess we fit into the high milage per year traveler usually racking up over 20,000 miles each year.
Truck & trailer ride on the same type of tire, BFG Commercials. The truck wears tires faster than the trailer of course. At the moment the truck tires still have some worthwhile tread on them but are getting lowish. Not enough to get it through the next 10,000 mile trip. The trailer treads are almost new looking treads though the tires are older than the truck tires.
I am thinking of doing a swap giving the truck the better tread but older tire & trailer the more worn tread but newer tires.
I'd like to get into a routine of buying new tires for the truck & the trailer gets the handmedowns.

Based on my observations over 40 years of highway driving, I see more tire problems on trailers than I do on the tow vehicles. This may be due to neglect or overloading more than anything else.
Me too! I ran XPS Ribs for 6.5 years and 40K and sold them for 200 on CL. I installed Bridgestone Duravis R250 this time because they are around 50 a tire less. Chris
