We flew over for the day in 2006 and had a blast. Went in late July and saw lots of grazing brown bears. Are considering doing an overnight this summer (same time frame) with friends who are flying up for a couple of weeks.

Has anyone been there since 2006 and what was your experience like?

Nope, left RV in Homer and flew in a little plane (single engine) with a Russian pilot.
