The JL by me closed a few months ago.
When I did try them it was not so good.
My Sequoia has a skid plate that has to be removed to get to the oil filter.
A few weeks after my oil change the skid plate fell off. Luckily it did not damage just lots of noise.

I never get lost! Someone always tells me where to go!

As long as I am physically able to use a creeper,
it's gonna be the day after hell freezes over that they will ever touch my truck.

It is not just Jiffy Lube
I only use MC 5-20 and MC filters in My F150
I went to the local Goodyear place with an ad for an oil change
Even though the Ford specs 5-20 blend,They used 10-30 Dino.
After 2500 miles I bought MC 5-20 and a new Filter at Wallmart and asked what they would charge to change it.The guy at the counter said $20 since I bought the oil From them. The bill came to 38.95 plus tax and fees.I protested that I was told $20,The man from the oil rack said "Our special is $38.95 and I dont care if we use your oil or ours.Needless to say that oil change cost me about $70.I now just go to the Ford dealer for aboout $55 and know that I get 5-20 blend and MC filter.According to posts on BITOG,the new SN blend is 60% syn.

Last summer I took oil and filter to a place. They quoted me 30 bucks. After the service was complete they rang me up for 114 because "it is a diesel". My wife knew this was going to be an interesting conversation so she simply went outside to wait. Ended up paying 30

I was little unnerved when the nice lady in the shop asked me if my TOYOTA TACOMA was a Diesel!!! That should have been a clue. The next visit a few days later with another vehicle didn't go quite as good.

I bought a Blazer from my sister years ago. I asked her when the last time the oil was changed and it was due. She told me she had taken it to some quick oil change place the last time she had it done. I went and bought the oil and filter and tore into it. The fun started when I tried to remove the oil filter. The thing was on there so tight it was unbelievable. The case of the filter started to twist while I was using a filter wrench on it. I decided to go "old school" on it and drive a screwdriver through it and take it off that way. It might as well been a can opener. The case of the filter finally fell off and I removed all the filter material. That left the ring of the filter still screwed to the oil filter boss on the engine. I finally ended up finding a long piece of steel bar that I cut a notch in with a grinder to "lock" into the holes on the filter ring. After hitting it repeatedly with a hammer, I finally got it loose. A 15 minute job took me over 2 hours. I swear it was like they had put the filter on with an impact wrench. They must not have put any oil on the seal either. I called my sister back and let her know to never take another car back to that place. In all my years as a mechanic, I've done hundreds of oil changes on everything from lawnmowers to Cummins and Detroit Diesels and never ran into anything like that.

The Dodge Maxi van We bought here in Mass. from a Rock Band had a Brand New Mopar Engine W/ ( 5,000 mi. ) compliments of a Quick Lube Place in Tx.
Who would of thought a rock band criss crossing the country from venue to venue was under contract with a large record company in Ny. with lots of Lawyers . LOL
They kept charging them for a cooling system treatment ? at every service , and never touched anything , got a New Mopar Radiator too .

Wouldn't that require that the grease monkey be able to read? ;-)

Not a Jiffy Lube story, but I once caught an employee at a Walmart tire & lube store trying to put 13 quarts of oil in my 12 quart capacity diesel. That was years ago and since then I installed a Fumoto valve in the oil pan and change the oil myself.
