Take it. It is awesome. Here is ours at the beach in Rocky Point. We have two big dogs and a daughter and camped with another family with two dogs and three kids. Yes there was sand....but guess what, it vacuumed out. Nothing better than hearing the waves at night and looking out your front window with an ocean view.

Our front window view:

Finally...and I promise, no more pics! We had to end every day like this:

Established camp ground at the beach, no problem. Plenty of them everywhere. Did it last year at the camp ground at Onslow Beach Camp Lejeune NC, First Landing State Park Va, and a few others. Didn't do anything different, post trip, then any other camp ground.
Dry camp or something similar ON the beach, well,,, I wouldn't consider driving beyond the dune line, even at Daytona.

We live in Florida where it's hard to get away from the Gulf or Ocean. Many of our trips are within just a few miles of the Gulf or Ocean or like you are suggesting on the beach, been doing it for 20+ years without any issues related to the salt air or sand in the camper. The biggest problem we ever had is bird droppings. As far as getting stuck, you said you are going to be in a camp ground so you will be fine.

We take our Class A down to Port A all the time. We have parked it many times on the beach by the jetty and Caldwell Pier to do some fishing. Only two things to remember 1. Don't park it in the soft sand(you can tell just look at the ruts and the color of the sand). 2. Make sure you wash it good when you get home, including underneath.

If I couldn't count on spending part of my summer near the beach, I would never own an RV.......

Pioneer RV is a five star resort several hundred yards from the beach - yes some salt air but you will be fine. I just camped a Mustang Island State Park down the road for 2 weeks in February which is about the same distance from the camping spots to the actual beach.

hmmmmm....Other than sand in the flooring, I'd guess that an extended stay (over a week or two) would encourage some silicone or white grease sprayed on the hydraulic levelers and anything else bare metal except the brake rotors.

markaustx wrote: Maybe I should clarify... there's no way I would drive my RV on the beach although I do see people who do. I like to stay at a nice RV park (Pioneer RV) next to the beach. It's on the other side of the dunes so we don't get much blowing sand. But we do get plenty of salt air and humidity.
Do it, enjoy it, thats not going to hurt it at all!
Yes it would be different if you left it there for season but you are talking about a short stay.
Have a great time and dont worry!

Life is too short to drink cheap beer and not go to the beach. And if you can do both simultaneously it doesn't get any better.
