I have done it when I plan to be at the state park very early Saturday, then leave very late Sunday to go home. That gives me 2 days (but one night) for the price of one. Check-out time is 2 PM, but the rangers have always let me to stay as long as I want on Sunday when I ask, since the park is generally emptying out at that time.

I camp at the same park so often that if I go out on Friday or even on Saturday and then I decide to stay over Sunday night they usually let me slide on paying as long as I'm gone by 9 AM Monday. Nobody pulls in to go camping on Sunday night anyway.
One of the reasons we bought Mobi was to allow for one night trips. Is is a royal pain to set up a tent for only one night.
By the end of this month Mobi will be stocked with food and clothes. By the time the kids are home from school, I will be ready to go.
One of the nice things about having a C is that we can park it in our driveway, and it just take minutes to set up. Especially when we camp at the local Provincial Park where there are no hook-ups. Once we are level, we are ready to start the fire and have a drink.
Sometimes I have to get away and don't have more than one night to do it. With the popup, it was a pain to go for one night, but I didi it. Now, with the retro 140 it is just a matter of driving. For one night, all I do is plug in. No water, no sewer, no refrigerator. Pack a change of clothes. Everything else, including coffee, Glen Livet, and a box of low carb nutrition bars, is already stocked in the Colby T. It is like an instant resort!
We have done the one nighter many times over the past five years we have had our camper. When your jobs and personal life are the way the are, sometimes that is all you can make work.We are fortunate to be only about forty miles from a beautiful corps of engineers lake with plenty of good campsites available. As has been said many times before, any day camping is a better day than being at work!Or sitting on the porch.
