I have some damaged wood. Its dry and brittle. I'm not that very handy with tools. I was wondering if wood epoxy would be ok to use. I was thinking after using the woody epoxy I would sand it down and paint it. I know in theory we should replace the damage wood and take it down. But I'm afraid this is something I can't handle solo. Any ideas would be great.

Take a look at Rot Doctor products. They're popular for boat repairs.

I used that (different brand) when patching some small rotted spots on the floor of an old Airstream. Mix it with sawdust and you have a great permanent wood filler that sands just like real wood.
In some cases, if you can prevent it from running off, you can leave the punky wood and this stuff will penetrate the soft wood and turn it harder than it was originally.
Experience is that which you gain immediately after you actually needed it.

What other brand did you use? I love the idea of the product. This product looks awesome, just expensive. Thanks again

The other stuff is called CPE (clear penetrating epoxy) IIRC. Aside from fixing the wood, you need to find and fix the source of moisture that caused it to rot prior to fixing the rot.

Do you have pictures of the damage you could post? I'd hate to tell you go ahead with the epoxy solution if it was significant damage that might allow it to worsen. Where is the damage located? Roof? Floor? Sidewall?
Gives us some more information and hopefully some pics so we can see if it's severe enough to make it neccessary to do the replacement work or if you caught it early enough you can get y with a little patch work.

I used Git Rot.
It's what the local boat repair shop dealt in.
