I was wondering who makes the quietest generator to power the whole trailer?

Do a search on this forum, and MANY discussions will be found, along with good info, debates.
Honda's -- come up as most reliable and quiet.
EU2000, you will need 2(run parrellel) to run all items (AC specifically).
EU3000, can run all.
Always a debate on quiet, while camping.

Honda and Yamaha. I have a 2000w Honda and it's pretty quiet. I usually place it behind my TT away from people. If you walk by on the CG road you can hardley hear it. On wide open it's definately audible.

We have a Ryobi 2kw inverter type generator... it looks a lot like the Honda. I picked it up at a local Home Depot for about $350... it was a return. These typically retail for $600. It's similar to a Honda regarding sound, but it DOES NOT offer an option to run two in parallel... which we don't need as we only use it for a few AC appliances and recharging batteries. I've not tried to use it to run the A/C... I don't expect it would anyhow.
You'll hear a lot of people singing praises to Honda/Yamaha... in the end it's your decision. We've been using the Ryobi for a couple months and it's performed well for us. Many debate the quality & customer service of the Honda/Yamaha knock-offs... but we've had no problems.
If I had the money, I would look at the Dometec & Boly 3kw models... the reviews look pretty good on them and they're much less than the comparable Red/Blue models.
We first tried a 3kw contractor type generator... but returned it after only one use as in the woods it was VERY loud and we were asked by the CG host to turn it off one evening.

to answer your question, the Honda and Yamaha inverter models are the quietest. to run the whole trailer reliably you would want 2 Honda 2000i's in parallel, a Yamaha 2400 (some debate on this) a Honda 3000i or whatever the Yamaha equivalent is to the Honda 3000i (try Wisesales.com for some of the cheaper prices.)
Of course they are also expensive compared to others which is why people are suggesting their less expensive favorites.

I bought a champion 4000 peak and will run everything and AC, cost was 299. and 63 db at 23 feet. Champion are a chinese knock off, very popular and affordable. Not as loud as a contractor type but DEFINATLY not as quiet as a Honda. If your rich of have money by the Honda 3000 and you cant even hear it run.

quitest is probably the portable fuel cells that are now available that run on either propane or methanol. Not engine driven generators, but still electric generators. and if you think the honda/yamaha's are expensive, well the fuel cells are definitely out of consideration!!
As far as gasoline driven generators, I believe the honda 3000 is the quitest. It is quiter than the honda 2000 by a noticeable amount at either idle or full power. next is probably the honda 1000, but it really is IMHO of marginal use for use with a trailer.

Honda 3000i will run the AC or the MW. But, not at the same time.
The Honda is very quiet, but you can still hear it if you are the only one running a gen in a wooded camp ground setting. Up to you to determine if it's okay or not.. 
The Honda 3000i is heavy. About #150 for the most part. If you have a helper, it's not so bad to move around.
I put mine on wheels, so easier to maneuver around the house and on harder surfaces if camping.
I use mine for the house backup power and it's great for running a couple of fridges, lights, entertainment center, computer and the fish tank when the power goes out.. I've got a gen switch setup at home, so it's "plug and play"..
Anyway, we paid around $1700 for the Honda about 6 years ago.. I've only used it camping a couple of times and only to run the MW and charge up the battery when we camped at a place that didn't have hookups.
