Well Guys I bought some Dicor Roof Gard & Palmolive dishwashing soap as the local RV place recommended. I was very intimidated all the stories I've heard and was loaded for bear, tied off the ladder, walking like a 100 year old man at first, after testing the waters, I felt comfortable. Washed with a soft push broom, but I could'nt get off some of the the black spots,I feel when I bought it the dealer did'nt clean well before treating maybe. I scrubbed and scrubbed and finally moved on....let it dry, then I had a paint roller and rolled on a fairly good coat working back and forth. I know there are a few things to learn and this is why I posted, for a few opinions. Hopefully it will be better than before. I am in the process of building a RV storage area. After getting it under a roof ,How often should I do the roof? On the jug Dicor recommends every 5-6 weeks ,which is crazy I feel. Thank You for all replies !

It gives you a good reason to puechase more Dicor. I would think once a season is fine and it's prolly more than most do.

..........My 5'ver is 14 years old as is the rubber roof ! It's got lotsa little black\dark stains from lil birdie turdie's and tree stains as well . I simply washed it off with 20 mule teams borax and let it go at that . A paid friend just finished painting the whole outer perimeter with EPDM rubber roofing on the 11th. , and so I'm letting it cure for a week or longer before we apply the other 5 gallons too the main roof area . All those little black\dark spots will just disappear under my new , snow white rubber roof coating and I'm anticipating that the EPDM coating should ADD several years onto my 14 year old roof . , jf
I do mine twice a year. I live in a very sunny, hot, humid, and dusty area. It has really cut down on the chalking on the sides, knock on wood.
