Hey guys, friends bought a 2012 sabre by Forest River last summer. He's having a problem with his bedroom slide which is electric. Will not extend out. He's hooked into shore power but has no power to inside fridge and Tv. All fuses were checked along with gfi in bathroom. Everything looked fine. Is there a disconnect he's not aware of of maybe forgot? I'm clueless with Forest River. Any suggestions?

Slides normally run off battery power. Sounds like battery is dead or on battery disconnect. Can friend hook up trailer to his(her) tow vehicle and let run a few minutes to put juice into the trailer battery and then try the slide?

I had a Forest River Palomino Thoroughbred fiver 2008 but don't remember a battery disconnect on it.

It's a 2 slider, one slide extended while other did not. Also has no power to inside fridge. With shore power hooked up shouldn't everything work?

The slide on FR products is protected by an auto-resetting breaker. The hard part is finding it. It could be anyplace from under the RV to inside a cabinet or behind the converter.

None of the slides in different units we have owned worked off shore power.
Refrig, yes, if refer is turned to AUTO. Check cords where plugged in (power post) or if marine type on trailer, check to make sure that is tight. Also, is breaker on in the electric box at the pole outside? Check breakers inside of unit (probably located top part of converter box.) Also, for elec, double check the GFI outlets (usually bathroom and maybe kitchen plugs) but haven't known of those to affect the refrig.

Go to the Forest River Forum site. There's a Sabre rep that answers people's questions and is very helpful. His name is Sabre Sam.

Could be a circuit breaker, looks like this. They are normally mounted to the frame near the battery, or, between battery and slide.

They are available at most autopart stores.
