Will be making our first tow with our 2011 Ram Dually with the
HO Cummins diesel. I will be towing our fifth wheel trailer that
weighs 14,000 pounds. What MPG should I expect to see? Would like to hear from other that are towing about the same weight on handling etc.

That truck will easily handle it, we love ours. Keep your fat foot out of it you will easily run all day on one tank of fuel. Have fun.

9-11 mpg depending on speed, wind and terrain. You're going to really like it.

Towing that much weight, equipped with a DPF and more power, I'm going to guess you'll get 9-10 mpg.

I get 10-12 pulling 12,000#.

Pulling our 40' long, 13'3" tall, 16,000 pound trailer, I have averaged 9.4-9.6 most of the time running 65-70 mph. On a very bad day coming home from Vegas traveling east on I-40, I was running 60 mph with a 40 mph head wind, locked in 5th, averaged 7.7 mpg for 2 days. On the way out, I averaged 10.1 mpg.

Thanks for guessing. Cool story about your unrelated comparison.

Typical fuel mileage from a DPF and high EGR setup.
