Ok, so I didn't win Mega Millions so I can't buy the new motorhomee so now I need to fix my slideout awning.... Does anyone know of a reputable company in southern california that can resew and repair a Carefree Sideout Kover awning?
I did the same thing. Two of my awnings the thread rotted at the coach side. Replacement awnings would cost around $600 so I removed the old ones and took them to a shop that restores old cars. The resewed both of them for next to nothing. Check around your area and see what you can find.
I used Sunbrella. Lasts a long time. Plastic covered Canvass seems to deterioate faster. Had 2 Cords sewn onto both edges. Replaced old with new but it takes 2 people. Buy it at Upholstery supply.
