Planing a trip from ST.Louis to Washington DC area. What would be the best route to take. Driving 36ft Class A and towing.

I would take I-70 to I-79 south near Pittsburg to I-68 back to I-70 south.

Impossible question since if you are staying at Cherry Hill is much different than say Pohick Regional Park

Personally I hate these no answer GENERIC questions. If one can't figure out how to say get from St Louis to the DC area tells me they probably shouldn't be towing or Rving ... general routing is not rocket science.

About the only question is to stay on 70 after entering PA or take I79 to I68 and personally I like the 68/79 no toll route.

The only advice i can give is avoid 270 and 495 as much as possible.

We have done this route a number of times. Also use I-64 to I-79, to I-68, to I-70. I think I-64 has less traffic than I-70 but it probably has more hills going through Kentucky than I-70 does going farther North. Both are pretty good routes. Or you could stay on I-64 to I-81 and approach DC from the Southwest on I-66.

Safe travels!
