I am using a fixed height JACK antenna and love it.

Any anntenna will get HD local over the air HD channels. You can hook a good set of rabbit ears like our parents used on their TV's up and pull in HD channels within 25 miles or so.

$99 for a fancy set of indoor rabbit ears seems pretty steep to me.

If I had to put an antennna on my RV it would be one of these two:

RS 1500 $69

RV3095 $123

2011 Silverado Crewcab 4x4
2012 Passport 238ML

Hope your travels are safe and the friendships made camping are lasting.
