We are new to fultiming and are now have our license and reg. out of florida with Good Sam's
My question is since we are out in Arizona now, what happens if we get called for jury duty. Some one told me that you would only be called if you register to vote there. Thanks

Check with your "home" state, every state is different, the actual officials will know better then any "net x-perts" (like me) that you can find.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

We FT........'home' address, DL's, vehicle registration, voter registration etc. via SD.
First year we received a 'jury duty' summons.......I called the court clerk number on summons, explained we we're FT'rs, not in state and had a SD 'domicile' address. Clerk said "Never mind.we will remove you from the rolls"
Last we have heard of it.......every thing in SD has been easy

I'm also fulltiming and domiciled in FL. So far, I've received 2 jury summons, 1 from a local court and 1 from a federal court. I was out of state both times and sent letters back each time. The federal summons even had a form on their website (where you could also check your status) that requested travel expense estimates if called. I guess the 2500 mile round trip plus hotel expenses convinced them to excuse me.

I'm a full timing Florida resident who was called for jury duty a couple of years ago. I called the clerk's office and explained my circumstances and the fact that I was, at the time, far out of State. She advised that she would handle it and that I was excused. I renewed my DL and tags this past July and Dec. respectively, without any problems and I haven't been recalled for jury duty since.
It appears that I was talking to a conscientious government employee who is good for her word. For that, I'm appreciative.

In Dade County Florida, county jury summons are picked randomly from driver licenses. I am not sure about the rest of the state. There is a place on the back to respond and send back. The one to watch is Federal Grand Jury - that one requires a response. If you get picked for a Federal Grand Jury, it is once a week for 18-24 months, with probable extensions.

We are addressed in Wisconsin and when I got a notice I wrote them and they delayed for a year. When I got the second notice I responded that we had moved to another state and they took me off the rolls.

They will usually excuse you if you call them. Interesting item.
When I ran a couple of Retail stores, frequently a Police Off icer or Deputy Sheriff would be seen, about noon, on a corner near one of the stores.
He was drafting People, on the street for jury duty.
Someone sent one of our Pharmacists out under some ruse and he got summoned or whatever the term is for Jury duty.I don't remember if it was immediately or a day later or what.
Pharmacist was a bit po.
I made sure to eat in the cafe and not be going, to the bank, without looking down the street some days.
I served once on Grand Jury before we relocated.

If you are no longer a resident of a state how are you going to be a registered voter in that state? If you DO get called to serve in a state where you do not reside tell them so and your name will be removed. If you travel only part time (we used to travel about 6 months out of the year which we considered to be "full timing half of the time" (my game so my rules) and got the jury duty call a couple of times and simply told them I was out of the state and it was postponed until I returned.

Oregon pulls by driver's license, not voter registration, so definitely check with Florida laws. Coincidentally, I was called for jury duty the day before we were to hit the road to fulltime! I called and was told to write a letter to the jury coordinator and explain the situation - I was excused for two years. Guess in two years, if I get called again (or DH sooner), we'll write another letter.
Congrats on joining the fulltime lifestyle!
Happy Travels!
