Do those secreen covers for the rear window of a fiver work like the ones you see on the wind shields of motor homes in cutting down heat transfer. During the daytime you can see out.
Shadepro has them that snap on, for in my case, $59 for the large window and $39 for each smaller side window?.
We have the black glass and can pull down the shades inside but thought if you caught the sun before it reaches inside it would help....thoughts.

Anything you do to prevent heat from entering the trailer will make it more easily cooled by the AC. Tinting helps and you can still see out, sun shade screens would also help but limit visibility to a greater extent. Installing an awning over the window would probably be the BEST but most expensive means of keeping heat out without effecting visibility.

We also bought a big roll of the foil wrap and my husband trimmed them down to fit each window. They worked wonders and also help keep interior from fading.

We had a Hitchhiker with the external screen that rolled down. I thought it worked quite well in keeping the sun out.

Last year I bought some stuff at Home Depot in duct work section. Cannot recall the name off hand, but it came in a roll form. It is insulated and I also bought a roll of "aluminum" tape as I had to cut/tape pieces of the roll together in order for it to fit the Kit window by table on our Creek. Good sticky tape BTW. The product is of solid type as no light will pass thru or very little at most. It DID work great as the sun was blasting thru the window due to way 5er was parked. A/C kept rig cool. When done or sun went down, simply pulled insul roll stuff from behind the day/nite shade, rolled it up and put in BR closet until next time. Cannot recall cost now, but not very expensive at all. Took longer to cut/tape. I'd recommend this route.

I thought about using the insulated foil stuff too and maybe some industrial strength velcro to attach it. Our 5r get stored beside the house and the rear window is facing east so it gets direct sun in the mornings. It is about to get HOT here in Yuma and I need to do something or the interior will be toast before the end of summer here.

Had a business that does the window coverings for class "A's" do the windows on my fiver. Makes a world of difference. With direct sun hitting window it really cuts down on the heat. Can leave inside shades up if you want, cuts that much heat down.

Lowe's sells "Sunscreen Fabic" (green or tan) in rolls or individual sizes that I used to make my own. It works great. I used suction cups and some flat aluminum to mount around the windows. PM me if you would like more details and/or pictures. Our Sams has it in 30 ft rolls for a good price.
