The videos are on the news no pics on line yet.

TT and SUV both flipped and destroyed and then they had another crash later, miles back on the Interstate later where a car was totaled when he hit a boat trailer, apparently the boat had already ejected off the trailer. Both crashes around 3:00 am. Probably was real hard to see an unlit trailer in the road at night.

Be interesting if the driver of the TT even knew the boat was gone and off course if and how the safety chains worked.

To my way of thinking, if you were towing a TT with a SUV in the day time you would have a hard time knowing if the boat/trailer was still attached to the back of the travel trailer, it would be impossible to know if it was still back there if it was at night...

I must have missed something.

I didn't see a mention of doubles.

The OPs description sounds like two different events and sets of vehicles by my understanding...

There was no vehicle attached to the boat, just a boat and trailer in the middle of the highway and the car that smashed into it, miles behind the TT/SUV crash.

Laying amidst the TT/SUV crash was a canoe also. Police speculating the boat was attached to the TT, they were vague as to if the driver was alive.

Videos of it on news several times where where really good ones. Hmmmm, interesting that you can't even find it on the news station web site.

Brevard county, near Palm Bay I95, 3:00am, Interstate shut down for several more hours after they found the car/boat accident further down.

IMHO posting these accidents could, hopefully, educate and/or change the minds of a newbie RV'er forum member from doing something that could be dangerous. I'm still hoping that thread on the 17 year old driving that big rig towing that killed almost all of his family DOES change the minds of any RV'er from EVER entertaining the thought of letting their kids drive a rig like that. Just saying.

no... we should hold the idiots responsible for the incident ACCOUNTABLE for their negligence. i do not term these as "accidents" because the owner/operator should be AWARE of their rig at all times when moving.
too many towed units without lights, driven far beyond safe speeds, and with little to no regard for their surroundings. shred some driver's licenses over this kind of tomfoolery and people might get the picture.

Haven't been this way in a while but I75 north about 50 miles or so, in Fla into GA You could count on seeing at least one, usually more, new TT behind SUVs or light p/u's.
Saw quite a variety on both sides from flat trailers hauling watermelons to you name it.
