The table on the left side of the camper is my outdoor cooking station. I leave the crock pot plugged in there all the time.

How about a propane or gas coffee pot for roughing it. Saw one at Cosco.

RoadLife wrote: I cook differently in the RV than at home. (We are longtimers, not yet fulltimers). For one, no pots and pans. I just took them out yesterday. Been in our rvs for 4 years and I have never used them. The RV has a convection microwave and a propane cooktop. I have never used the cooktop.
What I do use:
convection microwave (I have glass containers with lids for cooking)
electric skillet
electric kettle
coffee maker
coffee grinder
seal a meal
toaster oven
crock pot
Weber Q120 grill
I like to cook and can whip up just about anything with these items.
As far as condensation, I turn on the kitchen ceiling vent fan.
Next time your on 71 near Columbus give me a shout. I'll buy coffee.

We have all the usuals: electric fry pan, crock pot, coffee maker but one one thing we are getting a lot of unexpected use out of is the rice maker. Besides rice which is a wonderful alternative to potatoes. We found it can do pasta with the mess of a large boiling steaming pot of water. You can hard boil eggs. I am told you can actually brown meat before finishing in micro. You can steam vegetables and probably seafood. DW got a rice cooker cook book from Amazon and gave her all sorts of ideas.

I went to a restaurant last week and my entree came with 2 sides, I chose mashed potatoes & gravy and french fries. Just doing my part to make up for the rice eaters. ;-)

I am a fulltimer. I couldn't live without my crockpot or toaster oven. Some of the things I got rid of after a couple of years were a griddle and a blender. I did get a Cuisinart Griddler and a small handheld stick blender. Since there are only 2 of us I find I don't use my dutch oven much but I keep it around. I have a handheld mixer instead of my Kitchenaid mixer. I don't bake like I use to. I use good Cuisinart pans and good knives. I don't have many large serving dishes, don't need them.
