We have the Platinum ERS (and have had it for several years) and it expires in 3 months. However, we have opted for the automatic renewal feature to insure that we are continuously covered.
So why did we receive a phone call yesterday from GS trying to get us to renew over the phone? And he was quite insistent.
This just doesn't make sense to me.

SCAM?????? Never give info to someone who calls you. Call them back and inquire if they are soliting renewal. If it is automatice just check you credit card or account to be sure it was taken out so you are sure you have comverage. Scammers will try anything to get your info.

I would be careful giving any info to an unsolicited caller

It sounds like a case of GS inefficiency, with the right hand and left hand not communicating!

He actually called on three different occasions on consecutive days. My wife took the calls and only said something to me on the third call. So, if they call back for the fourth time, I gave her a list of questions, including those mentioned above by you guys.
We'll see.

Thank you for the post lanerd. We apologize for the misunderstanding. The calls that your wife received were from me attempting to obtain the information needed to make the Necessary Changes to your account in order to switch your current auto renewal to the new auto renewal offer that Marcus made locking in your price for life. I have spoken with your wife and your new auto renewal account has been set up. Please let me know if you have any additional questions via private message. Thank you, Zach

Thanks Zach. I have sent you emails with my continuing concerns. For others here reading this post, I offer this information.
I would renew my ERS on-line, but the form still has the statement: "Future membership dues will be charged, at the rate then in effect"
I'm very hesitant to provide credit card info when this statement requires me to accept by checking it off, if I want to continue using the "auto-renew" feature. You can say here you will make the "necessary changes", but if I have to accept the previous statement in order to renew...I just don't feel comfortable doing that.
Sorry to be such a pain about this, but I'm sure you understand my hesitation.
Please advise.
thanks
Ron
