We are looking at this Gulf Stream and have a couple questions for you experts:
First, is there anything in particular we should be looking at?
This RV has the Mercedes 330 HP engine. We are a little concerned that the Mercedes will mean more expensive parts and labor then say a standard Cummins engine.
Also, it is a 42' so I'm assuming the 330 HP is plenty enough engine to get up and over the smokey mountains.
Thanks in advance
Gordon
We have the t40c with Cummins360. Check out Www.outsideourbubble.com They have what you are looking at and have been all over the country just like us.
2008 Gulfstream Tourmaster
2011 Honda CRV
Blue Ox Baseplate & Socket Wiring
Blue Ox Alladin Tow Bar
US Gear Unified Tow Brake
This is a great engine, and is serviced by any Detroit Diesel Shop. It puts out 1000 lbs of torque giving it plenty of power for the mountains. I have not spent much time in the Smokey Mountains but I have traveled the Rockies with this engine and was impressed with its performance.
