In the POPUP world level is level when you can open the door. You want the trailer roof to be slightly tilting towards the back of the trailer so that the air conditioner run-off goes behind the trailer not in the patio area...

I like the comment about putting a pan filled with water on the floor...

Just run out and get one of these!

I have one of those and just to mess with my friends head one time I had him try to use it to level. I didn't get nearly enough fun out of it before he caught on. I did get overhear a few choice words however. I'm just lucky he figured out how expensive they must be and didn't throw it across the lot.

Lighten up folks. Can you walk around inside? Can you stay on the bed?
If yes-its close enough!

Is this before or after ingestion of alcoholic beverages?

Yes, I too have one. Well almost. Mine is the 98 level http://www.starrett.com/metrology/product-detail?k=98Z-12%20W/SLC Good for 0.005"/ foot over the master level at 0.0005" /foot. But what is a few thousandths between camping buds....

Trust me, the word RV and Starrett do not belong in the same thought not alone in the same sentence.

Depending on the length of your camper and the construction of the main frame rails, level may only be declared at specific location. In my case I use the floor inside the camper near the fridge with a torpedo level. Level it there with wood blocks under the tires as needed, put the stabilizers down and then deploy the slide.
