thanks for all the replies. So I level it with the slide out then put on the level.? Is that correct?

Bob, It just depends on what is most important to you to be level.
The frig will work fine as long as it's within a few degrees of level. The slide will work fine if it's not perfect either. There is some tolerance built in for being a half or full bubble off level without it being a major problem in any way.

Doing it the way I stated above will give you a level slide out and slightly off level fridge most likely. Doing it by leveling in the fridge and mounting your levels will make sure the fridge is always perfect if your levels are reading centered and your slide may be off just a tad. Your likely always going to have something off just a bit but it's not a big deal at all so mount them which ever way works for you, take it camping and level it as close as you can and enjoy it!

JMHO, but I would level the trailer first and put you bubble level on (Hoppy, etc) and go camping. When you pull your slide out, with the stabilizers down, the level should not change much, if any, and if it does, something's going on IMO. You trailer does not have to be perfectly level, and I doubt many are. It should just be fairly close.

Perhaps we are missing the OP's question?
Sound to me like he thinks the weight of the slide will tilt his trailer. On mine once I'm level and have 4 jacks down the slide has no effect open or closed. I do see some people put jackstand under their slides but we do not.
BTW I have those stick on vials that I have yet to install.
For now we just use the bullseye on the floor.

I never get lost! Someone always tells me where to go!

Learned this tip on this board. Level the stove top so the cook doesn't have to fight stuff running to the sides of the pan. The fridge will be happy there also.
My thoughts, if your slide changes your level, level the trailer with a torpedo level with the slide out, then run the slide in and then attach your bubble level. That way when you "level" your trailer when you park, it will be correct after you run your slide out. Why worry about what the level says after the fact?

Most instruction manuals state to have the trailer level and stabilized before you run your slides out. I found the carpenter's level on the frame gave me the most accurrate set up readings.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

That's what my manual says too; pull the slide out after the trailer is level. To the OP; you've received a lot of opinions on leveling methods above. Bottom line is they all work.

I had thought that the slide would 'tilt' the TT. So I used a level on the floor, the stove top and on the front frame and found no difference. I do put the stabs down before running out the slide. Good thing I didn't bet on my 1st thoughts. FYI My slide incorperates the u-shaped dinnette and the jack knife sofa.

Lighten up folks. Can you walk around inside? Can you stay on the bed?
If yes-its close enough!
