Don't see window awnings on fivers but most motorhomes have them. Just started to full time and am thinking of getting a few. Where can you get them?

Any RV dealer can order and install them. Shouldn't be a problem finding a match to your existing awning. Here's a link for Dometic and Carefree.

Camping World would be a better place to get them than at an RV dealership....They seem to sell for less and install for less with CW....I have one over a livingroom window and one over the kitchen window....really like them...Keep the sun out when you don't want it beating in and allows you to open the windows when raining....

I just went through Camping World 2012 catalog. They have them in all different colors.

I'd prefer the flat window screening. Then the view isn't blocked, but the heat is. Plus shouldn't be as easy to blow off in a windstorm.

I've had them on my 5th wheel and enjoy them. They are pretty easy to install yourself if you have any basic skills otherwise, Camping world should be able to help you. Welcome to the fulltimer lifestyle. Rick

Camping World only carries Dometic A&E. You would need to go elsewhere to get Carefree.

Ours keep the heat out, but the opaque fabric annoys me. I wanted to match fabric to the awning but if I did it again I would go with the see through screen type.

We had our dealer install the extra awning on the window on the
non-door side.

for the rear window, we had a guy at the park we stayed at make
the flat screen for us.

Both serve there purpose very well. And the smaller awning the dealer installed is the same color and cloth as the 2 large awnings door side.

Was going to have the full view material used for window awnings but the installer said if your putting them on block the sun and heat, they only block 70% of the sun. It didn't make any difference to him which one we chose he just wanted us to understand. I put up both materials and I could really tell the difference, so went with a material you can't see through. When your sitting inside you still have a view of what's outside. We are very happy with them on our 5v'r. Just spent a week in the warm desert and they worked great.

I bought my own material and made ones for my windows that are hung inside the curtains. We went that route because we didn't want anything else outside to take care of and we can install them when they are needed during the summer and take them down in the winter.

That's exactly why I don't have them on mine. Most of the designs seem to come down so low that you lose most of your view. Not sure how it would work, but a 6-8' standard or powered awning looks like it might have been more practical and cut less of the view.
