The Domestic refrigerator light always remains on, even when the door is closed. I changed the switch at the door, made no difference.

This is a : Domestic; Mod# RM3862; a 2 way operation, gas or electric

Where is my problem?

Thanks

Check the LAT switch- or Low Ambient Temperature. It keeps the light on for low ambient temp use.

Did you see that the light was still on while you were sitting inside the fridge? Sorry, I couldn't resist asking.

Hi All.

Yep, we sure would like to know, hoow you knnow that your Fridge Lights stays on while the door is closed.

On our Frige, the light ges on so fast you can't really tell. But by chance, if your Fridge Light does stay on, its probably your Light Switch has gone bad, or is wiored wrong.

A very simple fix, would be to put an On/Off Switch on the insidie of your RV Fridge. Or go to the troubel of fixing the Light Switch itslef.

Why don't you hook up a test lead, and then close the Fridge Door, and see if your drawing any power, with a cheap Test Light, that way you will be sure one way or the other.

Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill

Thanks for suggesting I go in the ref, but when you push the switch on the ref that the door touches when the door closes, the light should go off, but it doesn't. Next comment on how do I go about correcting the problem.

Turn off the low ambient switch located at the top of the freezer door area. Open the freezer door to gain access to the switch.

Thanks to the person who said to turn off the ambient switch.
