Boze

Looks like a nice system
To date I have not used those panels on any systems
Do they handle the heat well?

Hope we see some more of that nice sunny weather really SOOOOOOOON

Headed your way and further east for some Walleye fishing in Fort Peck and surrounding areas next week, lets hope the rain stops

Looks wonderful.

I can't wait to get the cover off of our TT and see where I have room to put our panels. I'll be going with the Rogue controller too.

I love how easy it is to mount the Unisolar panels. Someone here has 4 new 124 watt strips that I'd like to sell my panels to buy them but at 16 ft long I dont think I have enough room on the roof.

If if you don't think of anything better, you could put some of that plastic split loom wiring cover stuff over the wires.... white would kind of blend into the wall color. Amazon has some - for example THIS

In my rig, much of the factory wiring is pushed tight into the inside corner between ceiling and wall (or wall and wall for vertical runs) and then covered to hide it with a strip of paneling a few inches wide installed on a 45 degree angle between the wall and ceiling (or wall and wall for vertical runs). They used color-matched paneling, and just stapled it in along the edges - but you could use small screws so you could get at it easier. I've removed various pieces of it to modify wiring, and then stapled it back when done. They have plastic trim slipped over the edges of the paneling strips, but you could just cap the edges with white or colored electrical tape and it would look fine.

The Unisolar panels are really nice and simple. One may not be able to get the perfect angles, but I figured I really wanted something I didn't have to mess with once installed. I was originally hoping to put some of their 18' 144W panels on (cheap deal on eBay at the time) but no way I was going to get those to fit. Instead I ended up with 9' 68W panels.

Since they are designed to go on metal roofing, I'm sure they can physically handle the heat but we'll see how much power they can put out when they get hot.

Partly sunny day today. To test to see how much power I could get from these panels I've been running all the DC equipment and lights I could turn on since this morning (unfortunately my lights are are LEDs, so they don't use tons of juice). By 1:00 PM (solar noon), I've gotten about ~50 Ah into it today. Panels are producing about 270W when in full sun, they dip down to ~150W when a small cloud comes over now and then. I'll have to see my total Ahs by tonight.

That's a nice solar setup you have. You might want to look for some plastic wire-way molding to cleanup and conceal the wiring. here is a link for a typical wire-way. http://www.cableorganizer.com/panduit/pan-way.htm

There are several manufactures you can get this from

Thanks for the cable organization links. Definitely will be covering them up -- just need to find time, etc. :-)

I did run some charge tests on it.

1.58Kwh/121.7Ah running it all day yesterday with all sorts of DC lights and appliances running.

69gp,
Thanks for the link to the molding stuff. I had been looking, but nothing popped up until your link. I ordered some stuff from them and things ended up like this:

Thanks!
