I supose we all should keep our Trailer TAG NUMBER handy... Since they are permanent tags I guess I could pull out the trailer tag number from my files here.. Will have to see if I can do that haha... Trailers all have VIN numbers as well with cross ref to the tag number...
Your insurance probably wont cover any of your personal items left inside the trailer. I would have a hard time coming up with those items as well on a quick notice... State Farm offers the GAP on all of their financing free of charge I think...
Bet that was exciting seeing your trailer being pulled away by someone else...
It sure is becoming a SAD world we are living in. They probably only wanted your batteries and propane for their METH LAB...
My Posts are IMHO based on my experiences - PM me

I did pass the tag and VIN numbers to the police. The tag was/is TN plates 74707TE - which by the way are expired. Since we moved to another county, we couldn't renew on line and were going to go to the courthouse to do that on Thursday.
I also have GAP which, in this case will pay off.
The insurance company is reviewing the contents, because the wasy the policy reads, it is listed as "contents coverage" - but in the small print burried somewhere in the back it says that coverage is limited to fires and lightening. Worst case, my homeowners insurance will cover the contents, but there is another deuctable for that.

I didn't realize that Hensley Arrow could not take a hitch lock. Are you sure about that?
I have a ProPride 3P on my Jayco and it readily takes a hitch lock. I routinely have my 3P locked to the trailer using a hitch lock.from Master Lock. In fact, I got a call from the indoor storage yard where my TT was kept for the winter just several days ago. They wanted to move my trailer and needed me to run down to the yard with the key to my hitch lock so that they could lift up the coupler from the hitch ball and move my TT with their tractor.
I think many people believe that the difficulties involved in stealing a TT equipped with a HA or PP is an important side benefit of buying such an expensive hitch. if indeed that the HA could not take a hitch lock as you said, that could be viewed by some potential buyers as a competitive disadvantage vs the 3P.
Sorry for your loss and hope you enjoy your new TT even more than the last one.

The Hensley hitch can be locked to the trailer coupler with just about any kind of lock. I have a regular combination lock on mine.

I wonder how many are stolen to become a hunting cabin or guest house, never to see the highway again.

Sorry to hear about the theft. I had a similar situation, not a stolen TT, but a damaged one from a hit and run. My storage outfit has fencing and razor wire all around plus multiple security cameras although none on my TT and good system of video storage.
Well one morning I went over to check out my rig and pull battery maintenance and when I got to my spot my TT that had been on the tongue and jack stands was now moved off the stands by about a foot to one side in the front and slightly in the back. The Tongue jack was on the ground off of a 4 x 4 it had been sitting on.
I walked around wondering "What the Heck?" and then I noticed that something had run into the front left corner edge just at about frame height. There was no one parked on that side and it appeared that someone had driven and cut through the row and made it too short and hit my TT. I went to the office and we walked the lot and finally found a 20 ft flatbed with a left side fender that was crushed in and jammed against the tire. It even had my rig paint color on it. So back we go to the office and since I had been there a few weeks prior we started looking over the videos. It too a few hours but we found the day that the owner of the flat bed had taken his rig out and brought it back but no video of him running into me.
So we give him a call and tell his wife we want to talk to him about a possible accident where he might have run into me at the storage. She yelled something to him in the background and told us he said he did it and would be down to the office. He came and admitted he had run into it late at night. I asked him if he'd been drinking and he said he had a few. I told him he needed to step up and pay for my damages or else I call the sheriff. I met him there the next day and in front of my TT and as the bottom edge was crushed a bit and the metal edge was a mess I told him it would most likely cost a couple of $K for a shop to fix it right. I asked why he had waited for me to catch him and not reported it when he did it. Got no answer about that. Also did he want to inform his insurance about it. Of course he said no to his insurance and offered me $2000 cash on the spot.
So I took his money and told the storage place we were squared away. He pulled his stuff out the next month and is no longer there. Sorry for the hijacking and I do wish you have some good luck in finding you favorite rig before they make a mess of it.

Stealing a travel trailer in Oregon is a losing proposition.
In Oregon if you let the trailer license relapse for 5 years or 10 years you still have to pay back licensing fees for every year that you missed.
And you will have to supply a valid VIN number.
And you may have to pull the trailer to your local DMV for inspection.
Your best chance is to sell the contents.
But then you have to haul the carcass somewhere and destroy the incriminating evidence.
Druggies. They make no sense.

I'm hoping the insurance company makes the OP whole again on this. Losing a ride is one thing, losing a trailer is like losing a home.
Since the ProPride can't take a hitch ball lock, I'd recommend using two BAL X-chocks or Roto-Choks and padlocking them. It won't stop someone determined, but it will definitely slow them down.
