Since the ProPride can't take a hitch ball lock, I'd recommend using two BAL X-chocks or Roto-Choks and padlocking them. It won't stop someone determined, but it will definitely slow them down.
The ProPride, just like the Hensley CAN be locked to the trailer with a normal lock on the coupler. Anybody wanting to steal the trailer would then need a stinger to be able to hook up to the rig. This should be just about as effective as one of those hitch ball locks that inserts up into the coupler. Not too many people have a spare stinger sitting around!

Sorry to hear about your theft, especially so close to my neck of the woods. Even worse, there was a TON of extra traffic up and down I40 over the weekend due to the huge rod run in Pigeon Forge.
Really does sound like someone with prior knowledge of the unit, otherwise they would have gone for one with easier pickings perhaps?
Definitely keep a watch on the Knoxville/Chattanooga Craigslist for items that start popping up.
Could even be a meth head using one as a home base.

Stinks about the theft.
I am also confused about the ball lock, though. I have one on my HA. Not that it would make a huge difference to a VERY determined thief, but it certainly will slow someone down or force them to make a bunch of noise.
And like Mr. BarneyS, there aren't many 'common' thieves that have a HA stinger laying around.

It won't stop the most enthusiastic thief but it will slow him down some. Just use a chain with a lock that's to big for the average bolt cutters to cut. I put the lock on the inside of the chain so if they think about picking it they'll have to crawl underneath the trailer to do it.
Good luck to you.

Bolt cutters would cut through the chain very easily. Anything that slows a thief down has my vote. To bad it's not like the old days when they used a tree and a rope for justice.

Its all about making them go to another unit. Hitch lock. tire lock, whatever will make them not want to deal with it. Best thing you could buy is a boot wheel lock

Actually the picture doesn't show the size of the chain to scale. In real life the chain looks a lot bigger than what's in the picture. I have some large bolt cutters and the jaws won't open up wide enough on them to cut the chain.

Just hope that you don't lose the key to your lock on the chain...Then you may not be going camping either.

Sorry about your loss, that really bites!!! Ironic that I just bought a bunch of locks today for the tongue, propane and battery. Another poster mentioned chains around the rims. Thats a good idea!
Hopefully this will be a blessing in disguise and you'll find a new one that you like even more than the old one!!
