Congrats! Great looking camper. The rear slide with a sofa looks like a nice feature to have.
Good choice on a campground to stay in. LaPine State Park is very nice with the Ponderosa's and the Deschutes river flowing through it....been there a few times.

A question regarding the antenna...can you get shorter ones and the radio still works? Our Ford's hits the camper. We wrap it with electrical tape, but would rather had it not hit at all.....

First of all, congrats to the OP on the great looking Host.
I have always bought billet aluminum stubby antennas for my vehicles. I have not noticed a difference in reception on any of them when doing before and after comparisons.
Lots of different lengths available.
Just search "billet aluminum antenna" or something similar and you'll get quite a few hits.

Weight: I don't know the exact weight, but the sticker says 3300 and some change pounds. We Picked it up with 60 gallons of fresh water. I would imagine it to be around the 4k range, but honestly. I hauled two small pallets of slate tile for our house in this truck and this camper is no where near that heavy.
Antenna: On my year of dodge, the rear extended cab is not a 'full' extended cab. The antenna is out 10" from the overhang of the camper. You couldn't hit it if you tried.
Hitch: with my 4foot extension and the weight distro hitch, I estimate it to be just under 5 feet. I havent pulled any measurements to figure what I could get away with. I have many long trailers, my longest being 34', not a terribly heavy trailer, but all it hauls is my 4 sea doos. My enclosed trailer is 26.5 feet, and it's the one I am concerned most with. It has a VERY short tongue on it for some stupid reason. I used to pull it with my 8 foot camper and no extension and it actually came in contact with the crank handle numb for the jack and opened the front of the trailer like a can. I have my own fab shop as a side business so I have all the material to construct the shorter hitch extension when I have the time.
Thanks for all the comments! We're really excited to have our new camper. I've been waiting about 5 years to get a new one. Seems that life comes at you fast and something always becomes more a priority.

Great looking camper. We have the Host Bachelor single slide and still love it.
Glad to see Dave is still building quality campers! He was great to work with.
We keep an antenna ball on ours like a jackinthebox or similar and it prevents the rubbing on the camper overhang.
