You have to have the VIN and see what it is speced for, assuming it is not modded.

Ya but the numbers off the door would be nice, I think the gcvwr is in the glove box. I am not there though, lol. Anyone out there with a similar vehicle?

Are you able to look at the truck?

If yes, lift the hood...and look up. There is a decal fixed to the underside of the hood with build data... That will tell you the axle ratio.

Then...look in the glovebox for an owners manual.

GVWR, GAWR...should be on a decal on the drivers door pillar.

Look on the drivers door post for the numbers. Inside the glove compartment for the build sheet. Is the cowboy hat with the truck?

You don't have enough information for anyone to even give a SWAG or probably even a WAG. The rear gearing can be a MAJOR factor in the GCWR not to mention the engine.

If I remember correctly the GCWR is right at 21K. The problem with mega cabs has always been ratings. they are rated lower than the quad cabs because of the extra weight of the cab and possibly a bit softer springs. There are people here towing large fivers with the mega cab, so don't get too worried about that.
I am sending you a PM.

Online sales brochure

There's a table with capacities in this sales brochure...you can plug in your assumptions...and come up with an approximate value to go on for now.

Best we can probably do...

Based on 3.73 axle ratio...

Automatic

Payload 2770
GCWR 21000
Max Trailer weight 13,500

Manual

Payload 2700
GCWR 21000
Max Trailer weight 13,400

Trailer weight based on 150# driver....subtract, options, cargo, passengers....and if your like me...a bit more for the driver...I haven't weighed 150 # since I was a Freshman in college....
